Minnesota
and Climate
Opportunities
and Solutions
A surprisingly large number of Minnesotans
took part in the recent global climate talks. IATP joined climate activists,
state and federal legislators, local officials, academics, students, businesses,
researchers, NGOs and others from across the state in travelling to Copenhagen
to address the challenge of global climate change.
Please join IATP President Jim Harkness and Minnesota State Rep. Jeremy
Kalin, who was in Copenhagen as chairperson of the Coalition of Legislators
for Energy Action Now (CLEAN), to talk about opportunities for Minnesota
to provide a new vision for America’s climate and energy needs. CLEAN
is a bipartisan group of state legislators from more than 40 states working
for strong national action on climate.
We are also inviting all Minnesotans who were in Copenhagen to join us
and Rep. Kalin for a short reunion/reception and a chance to meet one
another.
When: Thursday, March 4, 2010 • 5:30–7 p.m.
Where: IATP, 2104 Stevens Avenue South, Minneapolis
Who: Jim Harkness, President of IATP
Jeremy Kalin, Minnesota House of Representatives (17-B)
